We started as a group of friends who live in Switzerland who keep doing more and more adventerous things together. We found the final membe of our team on n adventure racing website and at our first race together we all hit it off and continued to race. .
Since moving to Switzerland I have gotten into the outdoors lifestyle and tried to enjoy it as much as possible. Moving from team sports to individual sports like triathlon and activities I can do with my friends, like split-boarding and ski touring.
I spend as much time as family life allows getting out on my bikes and riding in the mountains, going for runs in the forests near home, or getting out on my split-board in the winter.
I started doing triathlons more seriously a few years ago an made the leap to the half iron-man distance and even managed to get the other boys in the team to do one with me in Turkey. Since then we have also all done the Morzine Beast Spartan race and I did the Zurich Iron-man
I love to push myself and aim for the things that others think are not possible or a bit mental. I hope one day this will help my kids to think that all this is normal and that they can do anything.

Until Steph gets her own profile together here is what we can have put together for her.
Nice English girl seeking 3 men to take her out into the wilderness for 4 days.
Well, we failed on the first attempt to take her to the finish line but we could not have found a better team mate after posting on a facebook forum looking for the last member of our team who had to be female to meet the rule (and our wives are not crazy enough to join us).
We were worried that we would be too much for anyone joining our team that did not know us and didn’t know what to expect at all but Steph had read all the blogs about AR and watched all the videos and even done more training than us it would seem.
Great team member and we enjoyed getting to know her over the original race and races to come.

What happens when you put two shit talking Aussies together at a party with plenty of booze? Well, one of them convinces the other it would be a great idea to get into Adventure racing.
That is exactly what happened when Kristian met Michael at a party in 2022 after the infamous attempt at Norcha.
A few messages later, not enough time to train and a few more shit talking sessions and a race was decided on. Time to learn to ride a mountain bike having never owned or ridden one before the race we decided to do.
Turns out, this adventure racing thing is a bit of fun and good excuse to get out and do stuff. More racing and good times to come.
I grew up in sunny Scotland where I spent my youth doing all sorts of outdoor sports such as Mountain Biking, Hiking, Climbing, Skiing and Snowboarding. My Dad was the local Scout Leader and he introduced me to all of these amazing sports and taught me everything I know about living and surviving in the outdoors.
I moved to Switzerland in 2013 and this reignited my love for outdoor sports as well as picking up some new interests like road cycling, triathlon and trail running. This is where I met the other guys in the team, and we all shared a common interest in pushing ourselves to do harder and more extreme events. So this is how Norcha AR challenge came about!
I love to keep fit, getting out on my bikes, running and hiking or doing gym work, so I hope all this will give me a good solid base to go into Norcha with for what is certainly our most extreme and difficult challenge yet. I will dedicate my efforts to all my family, my partner, my son and of course my Dad, as without them I wouldn’t be able to dedicate so much time to sports and training….

Professionally and in my spare time, I spend a lot of time outdoors. Enjoying nature and the mountains as well as practicing different sports have always been important to keep me physically and psychically fit. After all, no pain no gain!
I’ve always been an endurance sports fan. In my late twenties, early thirties I was a semiprofessional road bike racer and since my move to Switzerland in 2010, the nearby mountains are my favorite playground to practice all the sports I like.
An adventure race combines some of those sports in one competition and I’m looking very much forward to put this on my accomplished list!
